OK I stand corrected. True, Wolfraces fitted as an optional extra sold for a premium of £175 in the late 70s but T-slots are of course very "TVR", and I can't say as I've seen a whole heap of them advertised for sale lately. Refurbed they look pretty darned good too.
Tis true.......
Diamond cut and then laquered.

This is how they were originally.......

I had exactly that done to the T-slots on my Taimar in circa 1986. Problem is, after lacquering there's a risk of stone chips or the gentlest of kerbing wrecking the finish, then corrosion sets in underneath. Have seen it on "S" series too. That's why I'm now a confirmed saddo polisher every weekend with the 3000S (latex gloves / Solvol Autosol / other metal polish), keeps me out of harm's way though.

They are just protected by normal paint lacquer - first sign of corrosion, they'll get rubbed down and re-lacquered.
