3000 s in Holland need advice
Discussion
I must say, this thread makes more sense than some of the stuff I read on PH !
Seriously, here are some thoughts: interior - you mean upholstery ? The "oatmeal" vinyl in my car has not been available for years, black is a bit less obvious if you have to use a 'close substitute', either way consider a full-hide (or 3/4) re-trim since most of the cost is in the pattern making and stitching rather than the material used. There's a nice 3000S for sale in Scotland which has "oxblood" colour leather, same was used on the silver 3000S which Paul Shrimpton had a few years back.
Switch gear etc - most can be sourced (including some new old stock) from related suppliers.
Bad parts – a few things to watch (from a non-mechanical-genius’s perspective) and which are generally covered by threads elsewhere on PH (not I would hasten to add, from my own experience !) include chassis corrosion, steering kickback, dodgy wiring, overheating, worn differential, fuel tank perforation, drooping doors, and condition of the screen & sidescreens.
Good luck !
