2006 should be the year when my 3000m comes out of rebuild. It was taken off the road in 1985 to have a few jobs done on it ( Tax disc is still on the screen)I bought it in 1992, got it all apart by 1994-5 got the chassis done at the same time and then - ran out of funds. Started again in earnest in 2000 and, with a few delays and some changes of restorer we're just about ready to go. It was being rolling roaded just before Christmas and we're waiting for a sun roof - then it's off to the MOT station, get some running in done and consider a litle genteel competition....

No - it's a Swaymar - and only when I got it to the engine builders did we discover that when it was cast the cores on one side had moved, so they had to be tigwelded up and opened up to get the ports to match. Bloody awkward job - still I got it at a good price so you gets what you pays for I guess...

Can't wait to see it Jasper. Is it still the same colour as when I saw it around 2001?
