Have a look at this video labeled TVR 3000M Cup
One of ten? Really?
The poster also has a video of himself going through a 3000M or Taimar which he's purchased, and he seems to be familiar with the marque.
There's something on the windshield, so he may simply be repeating what he read. Was it reprints of magazine articles?
Have any of you ever heard of this supposed run of cars? Is it pure fiction or reality based?

never heard about such, but could have been a model made afterwards for a small cup series? so not official but more like a say tuner thing?

In the original German, it's definite that ten were built, and at the end it says that this is supposedly the only survivor. That's statistically unlikely. Sondermodell translates most closely to special model, which is a term I've only ever heard used in connection with factory models, which doesn't mean that someone couldn't be applying it differently.
Any old way, it's fun and interesting for me to learn about specific versions, and about people's choices in how they want to skew the set of compromises that make up a car. Also, how those choices are implemented. I'm looking forward to learning more about this car.
All that said, it's really obvious to me that the front end modifications are an aerodynamic nightmare, causing lift and instability, and that to me makes it very unlikely for it to have been a factory effort.

indeed, as some mentioned, could be a club special for some country, like say the Bornemann TVR Cosworth also from some German car Tuner, but that name is also Bornemann TVR, and they made only 3 examples, so also not by TVR themselves (more a sort Restomod), but a lovely car and 375hp or so Cosworth and everything upgraded, also lovely interior and nice instruments.
Never heard of any M cup or J cup M series cars being produced by TVR.
Never seen any pictures or literature of such a model.
No awareness of any M or J cup race series for M series TVRs.
Can anybody provide any evidence of this cars production status other than it’s an M series that’s had some modifications done to it by an independent?

But claiming it was a limited production run ? I don’t think so, not by TVR anyway.

Another thing about the nose of that car. Manufacturers tend not to push massively uglified versions of their products into public view. Racing is just that. Publis view.

Bits of the car don’t make sense as others have said, it’s the sunroof for me. On a race car or cup car why would you go through the effort of installing a sunroof. Much easier and stronger for the body not to fit it. I’d gamble this was actually a crash repair that may have been tracked or sprinted.
