1978 Taimar question..

Under the glove box there is an opening approx 2" x 2" & inside this openinng is a metal switch which can be flicked towards the drivers side, or reset back to vertical e.g - pointing directly at you as you sit in the passenger seat..... i assume its to do with air flow, but appreciate if someone could comfirm....

Have you looked for wires to trace?
Have you checked to see what happens when you flip it (with the ignition on)?

Got car out of garage for a good look - it’s a battery cut off switch, however, not cabled correctly (last photo) as nothing happens when switched, easy one for me to sort!!
