Vixen anti roll bar
Discussion
Hi
I brought the updated arb kit from Rimmer (who I think do a great job). Several previous arbs were bent up at one side.
The new kit had arb, mounting kit, but no drop links.
I sent it back. The arb itself was less wide by about an inch overall, which was too much of a stretch to get the drop links anywhere vertical. The mounting kit also used wider mounting holes in the chassis, bigger U bolts. I didn’t want to drill new holes, having just had the chassis power coated.
So, I used the old one, new bushes and made drop links from two spherical joints back to back. I took out the effect of the bend by adjustment in the drop links.

Yes, I replaced my std (Spitfire) ARB with one off of a GT6. (IIRC the original was approx 18mm diameter and the GT6 was about 21mm.)
It was a straight forward unbolt and bolt on mod and I've always said it was the best modification I've done for fast road / light track use. The car is much flatter and faster through the bends which is very noticeable on track. If purely road use maybe not so beneficial as it does make the steering heavier.
