Now that’s a proper barn find - tvr vixen
Discussion
Great find. Did you buy it?
Takes me back to my first TVR - a 1976 1600M which I bought in 1985 when I was 21 years old. I really loved that car. Owned it for 6 years as my daily driver and toured most of Europe in it. Then I fell into the trap of thinking I needed more power, so kept upgrading to bigger engined and faster TVR's. Until I realised that the small engined, lighter cars are just more fun. Hence the last 12 years owning a Vixen.
Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia occasionally.

Nice! This is good for a typical "first wash after 40 years" video.
If the car is complete, that would be a plus. According to the licence it is a 1600cc from 1972 and will therefore have an M-chassis.
But I assume you have to restore it completely.
Those 1600M are very rare, although that does not say very pricy as you would aspect from other brands and rare examples, like say some Porsche's, but very rare non the less If the car is complete, that would be a plus. The perfect M.
Keep the Kent.
Swap in a Zetec/Zetec SVT.
Maybe go the full route with a Mazda NA 5 Speed.
All bits available from Retroford and Burton.
hm, good idea, 200-270hp from those engine's in such light 1600M base, nice.Keep the Kent.

also, I always wonder if you bring the car like it is to a professional cleaner, how it then looks, before and after, just that, not just a wash, but a detailer to see how it then looks.

The only TVR I’d be tempted by would be a Taimar turbo ( my dad briefly had one when I was too young to drive, must have been a handful to drive on bumpy wet Scottish roads)
