Hi All

Looking for replacement bushes for the top differential bracket, so this is the cradle that sits above the Diff and has 4 big bolts through it which go though metalastic bushes/mounts (which I want replace) into the Diff. I can find loads for pre 77 cars but none for the Salisbury differential cars - can some one give me a steer? Ideally poly but rubber at a pinch.

Cheers
Rob

I looked around for some fairly recently and saw that Racetech stock a rubber bush for the salisbury diff - part number 15385

It's a job that i've been putting off so i've not bought any yet. (I haven't checked the pictures against the bushes already on my Taimar either).

Bloody hell, best part of £300 !

I think I’ll reimagine the diff carrier should I need to change.

Yep, it’s yours I would base it on, if I was making one.

Is it bushes into the chassis or on the original solid mounts?

Bushes Jon. Pick up the two bolt holes either side of the diff to catch bushed conections on the chassis members in front and behind diff. Folded flat plate.

Thanks but £56 per push is a pushing it a bit! I have noticed that some of the prices on racetech are pretty wild and have heard reports that some of the parts they sell are not great quality. I still have my old bushes, they look OK but they're 40 year old so hence wanting to replace them. However £300 is prohibitive.

Some time ago a picture of one of these bushes was posted up and from it I could make out a Brand name and part number. I contacted them and one of their sales guys emailed me, initially very helpful, he immediately recognised it as a bush they had supplied to TVR!
He got back to me after a few days and asked how many I wanted, I replied 'four', but could ask around to see if any more interest (thinking he'd only be interested in a decent quantity).
He said he'd located one, old stock but to leave it with him, he had an idea where he might find more?
Basically it all fizzled out, I chased him up a couple of times, got no replies, eventually I let it drop.

Mine have "metalastic" on them. Adrian Venn apparently can refurb them replacing the rubber bit. Inquiring on cost with him just now.
