Has anyone fitted an Air Fuel Ratio Kit to their series "M".
Perhaps this could give the possibility to Jet the Carb themselves.
For sure someone will say the way to go is use a Rolling Road but that is not cheap.
I think someone here has tried with a Kit and i wonder what they think.
Good idea, waste of time, waste of money.

not to a tvr , i have the aem kit on my car , very accurate and fast readings , much better than guessing at it as long as you know what targets to aim for and how to tune for it

Thanks Steve,
that was a quick reply wow. Could you give a reference of kit and idea of the price please.
I'm just thinking out aloud at the moment and Christmas is not too far away.
A bit of spare cash with no Hols this Year (thanks covid).

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AEM-X-Series-Wideband-U...

this is the one i use , everything there to get going , but you will need to weld a boss into the downpipe , its only 2 wires to get going so nothing scary

Let us know how you get in with it, looks bloody good the hardest part is fitting the boss.

Just had a quick surf on ebay and there are "Lambda Clamps" which should be easy to fit.
Just cut short length out of Exhaust Pipe and slide in place.
Makes it easy to finalise orientation of the Lambda Boss + no Welding biggrin
I just need to wait for the delivery.

Nice trick although welding a nut on would be a lot neater and reversible if it’s on a manifold although yours needs to be after the manifolds join.

The Lambda section of Exhaust Pipe is reversible also. Just keep the section you remove.
With the Lambda Section and Clamps you can orientate easily.
With the installation i think it will be after one bank of Cylinders merge. Maybe driver's side.

I just received the Lambda Kit and it looks very good.
Very quick service also.
I will get the Lambda Boss welded in the "S" between the Manifold and Resonator Box.
That maybe in a few weeks but i will keep you boys posted for sure.

Looking at the AFR kit.
There is a Harness to go between the Sensor and the Guage no problem.
There is a Cable that plugs into the Gauge and needs to be wired into the Car.
Red wire fused supply.
Black wire earth.
I think all the other wires are optional and depend if i have other electronic devices to connect to.
I think i only need to connect the Black wire and the Red wire because i only want to measure the Air Fuel Ratio.
Could someone confirm that please.

Yes you are correct .. red power black earth then you are good to go.
The aem x series is excellent .. I use one on my rolling road and on all my ecu installations and they have been 100 percent reliable.

Just heat-shrink the remaining unused wires to keep them safe.

Just watched the youtube very good info.
Many thanks.
Just ordered a stainless Boss to weld on my stainless Exhaust.
I will remove Exhaust when the Boss arrives.
I am lucky to have a friend who welds stainless.

yeah just bundle those wires up for later

if you had an aftermarket ecu /fuel injection you can use it to self tune to your desired fuel ratio
