Unfortunately not. Gets a 3 litre Capri Haynes manual ( or similar )for the engine & box.

There‘s a spare parts book for the m series. That has exploded diagrams of most of the car. It‘s quite useful. I copied mine years ago. I don‘t know if it‘s available online or to buy anywhere

No, don't think so.

Haynes Consul/Granada manual will cover engine and Triumph TR6 might help a bit with suspension and steering.

After that its searching or asking on various Facebook groups, Pistonheads or the internet more generally smile

Early cars have a TR6 diff. Yours should have the later salisbury 4HU diff. Heavy , tough & almost impossible to get out with the body on.

If you take the body off, take the opportunity of checking the diff.

I think all the Taimars are the Jag Diff.
Easy to see with a quick peep underneath. The Jag Diff has the Lugs for inboard Brake Disks.

Sorry Alan, that is not correct. Both the TVR "M" parts catalogue & Robson - Vol1 Grantura to Taimar Pg 80 state - My wording ...

3919FM ( Mar 77 ) first cars fitted with 4HU, a few fitted without after that, but from 3955FM ALL have the 4HU.

I am in contact with a Taimar owner, currently in the States, with a chassis number between 3919 & 3955. His car ( ex UK ) has the TR6 Diff & he is sure it is original.

So according to my stats somewhere between 50 & 90 Taimars could have had TR6 diffs.

I've E-mailed with "fixanything" & know his car has pull up door handles, so chassis no is > 4037FM ( Mine -the last with push button door handles )
So his did indeed leave the factory with a 4HU.

This old PH post mentions the diffs too => https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=14...

Regards
Steve

P.S. - Alan, is there anyway I can contact you offline ? - Feel free to E-mail me ( via PH ) or My E-mail address is here => http://www.linton-gin.com ( via the contact link )

Hi Steve,
good to learn new things. I've had "M Series" from about 2013 now and still on my learning curve. Always ready to know new info.
On my 1976 3000M(3582FM) Triumph Diff and on my 1978 3000S(4430FM) Jag Diff.
