A lot of work to do and would appreciate recommended resources e.g. Parts suppliers, Specific Clubs, Specilist services, Advice, Register etc......

For now, whats the general view if restoring e.g. keep standard/original/Matching numbers or make it your own and impact on finished values.

Cheers

The TVR car clubs a good place to start.

I’d restore the car how I want, regardless.

If anyone claims to be a expert, avoid them.

Is it the blue one?

I would look long and hard at where I would place any outsourced work if I were to restore another older TVR.

Trim is trim, paint is paint and chassis work is nothing that a decent fabricator can't manage.

Does it drive and if so get some driving done as and where permited.
Give it a good clean and polish.
Fall in love with it then see where you want to go.
Welcome

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new project.
They’re pretty straightforward and there’s lots of things that can be made better than original to improve them.

Neil Russell - Lilley Wilkinson TVR Group www.facebook.com/groups/1963727060376448

A belated welcome to TVR ownership. All advice above is good and valuable but remember many components are from Triumph & Ford part bins, so can be sourced from the myriad of Triumph & Ford specialists. Beware though that some of these parts were modified by TVR so researching via PH and other forums can save much wasted time.

If you can find time, please keep us updated with your progress. To me, the “Reader’s Rebuilds” is the best part of PH and I’d love to read about a Taimar restoration.
