https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-3000M/392964104181?...

Would prefer a Taimar for the rear hatch but this looks ok in the pics.
I'm too far away to go and view but interested in the car if the chassis is sound.

thanks in advance

The last MOT didn't mention any chassis issues.

Looks like a cracking buy.

It seems a bit suspicious that he has deliberately omitted the mileage figure, which is one of the standard fields to fill in when selling a car on Ebay. I assume either it's a scarily high number, or that he can't guarantee it's the true figure.

18,500 miles in 2017.

Do Taimar odometers go beyond 100,000 miles?

Anyway it seems a really nice car to just use as it is.

Thanks Folks, hoping that the previous owner or someone who knows the car might give me an insight into it's history and underside condition.
Alternatively, anyone live nearby would do a check for a fee.....?

Why not ask the dealer and get him to take some photos?

I did yesterday, asked a few questions and asked for photos of the underside.
His reply:

Hi

All the chassis is good and has a good coating of wax oil.

I don’t have a ramp to put the car on sorry.

Regards

Helpful eh!

Having seen what waxoyl can hide, if its old there can be moisture behind it, if it's new to cover something up..

I sold my Chimaera earlier in the year, was berated on here for the quality of my underside photos and lack thereof. At least I'd tried.
The car is a long way from me, Wiltshire, I'm NW Scotland, I can't justify a two day trip to view it only to find it isn't suitable.....

I wonder if posting a request on the TVRCC forum would generate an offer from a member more local to inspect it on your behalf?

Not a member of the CC at the moment, will investigate, thanks.

Could you say to the Vendor that you want the car to pass a MOT test at the MOT Station of your choice.
You pay of course and you can speak to the Station and ask them to pay special attention to the Chassis.
If it costs a little more it would be worth it, personal choice of course.
Good luck

How far is too far to travel if you’re interested?

Forget that, just looked at yours and the vendors location...it’s a decent journey smile

There was no chassis issue 3 years ago on its MOT, if you’re that interested ring the dealer and speak to him re getting you photos - an email doesn’t tell him you’re not a time waster.
