Hi does anyone know what car the inner steering rod ends are from , they are the same thread as the outers but have a smaller taper.
Thanks Colin
My MK2 Grantura had a left hand drive Ford 100E steering box mounted upside down, and I believe the track rods probably came from the same source; more than that I cannot remember as it was over 50 years ago. Thanks Colin
You should try Adrian or Dollyman, who both are very knowledgable and post on this site, and I am sure can help, Adrian is also a parts supplier of some repute.
I think the inner small track rod ends are still a mystery. Even back in the late 60's / 70's TVRCC newsletters no one could pin them down. the outer ones are Q 88's for Wolseley 4/50 or 6/80 (these have a r/h and l/h 9/16" 16 TPI BSF thread). I think a firm called Amsteer who sell on e bay sometimes do them for the Grantura.
The nearest a chap who used to supply David Gerald with there track rod ends got to the inner ones was from was from the Austin 8 1939-45 QR 2, these had the correct taper but the thread was 9/16" 18TPI .

You can buy the outer (bigger) track rod ends easy from Amsteer http://www.amsteer.co.uk/TVR%20Car%20Parts/TVR%20T....
However, they do not sell the inner ones.
When I ordered inner and outer around 20 years ago from David Gerald they send me the bigger ones for the inner. I asked for smaller track rod ends but they could not help. So I used the old ones I had again.
If you find any source please share with us!
