Max cam lift - 2500M

Hi All,

Been looking into performance cams for the six to mate with twin HS6’s a 6:3:1 manifold at 9.5:1 compression.

The ones I have my eyes on have cam lift figures of 0.270 (duration 280) and 0.285 (duration 284).

Has anyone got any guidance as to whether these lift figures will require different springs as I currently have standard springs on a cam with 0.230 ? Conscious of coil binding.

More lift, more duration, faster valve acceleration, then I would be looking to upgrade the valve springs. Most aftermarket valve spring suppliers know within reason how much duration and lift a particular spring will control.
