Looks like he will be making a tidy profit. It was sold through a general/furniture auctioneer in Penrith last year and sold for about 12K.

Ah that’s the one is it.

It would still be a bargain at twice that in my completely biased opinion.

The car will almost certainly need a full body off re-furb. I would be happy to quote for an appropriate restoration for the new owner :-)

i would confirm that too....hence the car is far too expensive.....the last year´s sales price (around 12k) was already on the limit.

It's only worth what someone will pay but if it requires a full rebuild then £20k is high as it'lll cost another £30k to do properly. However if it's MOT'd and usable then it's looks a nice car to buy, use and have as a rolling project. In that case it's not bad for £20k and was a bargain at £12.5k.

Very much a rolling using restoration price was not what e bay reflected as the high bidder did not respond to second chance offer.

Car now starting its new life down south and will be a usable car and some nice surprises.
Engine especially being a very sweet balanced 3.1 that ran a dream yesterday doing over 300 miles to its new home.

Chassis on first inspection looks a mess with many years of wax oil and paint but underneath where i expected issues on close inspection are great testament to Wax oil looking horrid but doing what it should do.

the car in Belgium is a LHD...which are valued totally different....so not compareable.....even i would say: somebody who pays so much upcharge for a LHD is its own fault.

You seem to know a lot about the values of early TVRS
Maybe you could share how many you have owned and bought over the years to glean this valuable knowledge.

On top of that what about the beautifully restored RHD V6 Tuscan that sold for just over £40 000 last year which in Euro Land is 45 to 46k
Maybe you need to pay attention at the back of the class

The great thing about internet forums is that everyone can have their own opinion. If you have a differing opinion please feel free to share, but it is perhaps best not to be condescending. Unless, perhaps I missed the poll that did elect you as our teacher.

Here in France many prefer a lhd car and are ready to pay a lot more for lhd.
I have seen lhd TVR for much higher prices than rhd.
