Gearbox 2500m

Can someone please tell me if you can drop the Gearbox on a 2500m without removing the Engine.

Well you can definitely do a 3000M and I imagine a 2500 won’t be much different.
I did use a ratchet strap to give additional support to the engine whilst removing the box.
And because I did it on a garage floor and not a proper lift used a trolley jack to support the gear box and the withdraw it.

You definitely can, I've done it myself to change the clutch. I supported it from inside the car with a ratchet strap and a length of wood across the centre console area if I remember correctly..
