Vixen diff removal options
Discussion
I'm planning to remove the diff so I can install a Quaife ATB. I have a removable panel in the rear parcel shelf floor but would prefer not to remove the rear glass. How difficult is it to remove from below the car or can it come out through the side if I remove the wishbones with upright?
It's a Spitfire diff.

Excellent. That sounds straight forward.
Another question. Quaife are saying not to drill a drain hole in the diff as should never need to change oil and the casing is too thin to tap . This makes sense but goes against my orginal plan. And I do like the idea of refreshing oil regularly even if it's just to check for any early signs of wear in components.

At the lowest point there’s easily enough meat to put a drain plug in. We used a small black iron plumbing plug and it went in a treat. Another question.
