3000M There is a little smoke from 456 Exhaust pipe.
Could it be Valve Stem Seals need replacing.
The Engine pulls very well.

Usually if you get smoke just at start up it's the valve seals, if it's on overrun then it's guides and if it's on acceleration it's rings or bore wear. Well that's what I've found.

I am no expert but from my experience valve stem seals perishing have no noticeable effect on engine performance. Good indicator would be to leave the car idling for a few minutes and then check if the bit of smoke you noticed becomes significantly larger.

What Oil consumption could i expect with 88,000 miles on the clock. Or is it saying how long is a piece of string.

I recently had the same problem it turned out to be the head gasket leaking oil into no.6 even though the compression was OK.
