Harness Suitable For Vixen ?

I've just installed a roll bar in the Vixen as it's required this season for hill and sprint events. It's not something I wanted to do as I'm a bit concerned about a lump of steel so close to my head when using the car on the road and not helmeted. Anyway it's now in and ready for Shelsley next month.

From a safety point of view, should I be wearing a 4 point harness or am I just as well off wearing the standard 3 point belt. Does this differ for track (helmeted) and road (unhelmeted). I don't plan to wear a Hans device for competition.

4 point would be safer if you have a decent roll bar.

From the driving point of view, you will have a far better feel of the car when you are strapped down with a harness. You will feel part of the car rather than being taken for a ride sitting on the seat!

I’d suggest some good quality roll cage padding if your driving without a helmet.
Might help in the case if a road bump.0
