TVR M Series Fuel filler neck seal
Discussion
Having had the need to replace this for others recently and the only seal they could source was a triumph part that in order to fit needed to be cut and bodged to make it work.
However knowing that the one on my 3000s was a replacement that was bought a number of years ago that is more like the original in that it both fits without cutting and has a lip both sides with the underneath flap relatively easy to tuck though once the filler is in place.
The flap just leaves a few mm of the cut out showing that's there to allow the breather and overflow through.
With a strip of Dum Dum underneath pushed around at the back gives a perfect watertight seal.
I am popping the part number on here as well as the link to where they are available in Australia as in future links can stop working this way in the future people can search the part number.
They are re made by a company that specializes in rare parts and originally is made for one of the Australian made Holden models.
Part Number is 7409955

Hi Andrew,
that looks very neat and a nice job.
The only other possible seal i can think of is from sjsportscars for the Lotus Elan but your solution looks easier to fit.
Alan
Its what was fitted to my car when Colin re did the car 12 years ago and while i had it off i looked for a part number Alan so it was not me that originally found it but useful information to share rather than fitting something that really does not do the job right and encourages leaks.that looks very neat and a nice job.
