Hi All,

I am considering dipping into classic TVR ownership (I was also born in Blackpool ) and I was hoping you might be able to help me with info on this car.

https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/listing/tvr...

Obviously the engine is the crux of the matter and may or may not explain the very ambitious asking price. If anyone here knows anything at all about this car I would be very grateful indeed.

Kr

Alvin.

When I clicked on the advertisement I was expecting a Cosworth twincam motor. That's a Ford crossflow, with a cosworth valve cover. now it could have some of the cosworth tricks that give it more HP but I would not say the motor adds much value.

Hi Alvin,
The first question is what do you want to do with the car. Rally, track days or just drive it. After the choice is very easy.

Fast road. Occaisonal track day. But not concerned with being competitive.

The picture of the track rod end looks to be at a strange angle, mine are horizontal.

why buying in germany? a far overpriced country in terms of TVR? and why buy at a dealer which is well known for its high prices in a country well know for its high TVR prices? plus the fact that the dealers location is in a town where a lot of rich people live.

Both cars are certainly worth looking at Erics car certainly looks the better buy of the two with prices ranging from 14k for a car thats driving with an MOT that can be improved to the top end of Top end restored cars nearly 30k then both of these are mid range.
Happy hunting if your waiting for that elusive 20k car for sale at 10k like others on here you will be waiting a long time as that 10k will be 20k once you start digging and sorting.

Very true but made me laugh anyway.
