There are enough brands in that size. Is it okay for the front axle?

No rubbing on the arches with 205/70R14? There are not a lot indeed. Falken and Maxxis are the brands in the Netherlands which have a nice price and the right speedindex. If you go cheaper you get chinese tyres. Dunlop and Vredestein are very expensive.

I found out that BF Goodrich has enough sizes in 14" tyres for the 3000M and Taimar. A 205/70R14 costs 134 euro's in the Netherlands. A company that specializes in classics sells them overhere,

With 185/70 i hope you don't rip the Exhaust System off.
205/70 fill the Arches nice and they are almost the same rolling dia as original

I know of someone that had a Turbo and ripped the Exhaust off when the car bottomed out. It was in West Lane Hayling Island

Same applies Alan.

Ran a Turbo for 15 years + and never had an exhaust riped off due to 195x70 tyres being fitted as you suggest.

Dont you find 205 70 is too wide for the standard rim?

A local friend who has recently bought a Taimar that had 205s fitted to 14 inch Wolfrace has just switched the fronts to 195/70s as he found that at full lock they where fouling.

On my 3000m with 205/70 they don't touch on full lock BUT they are VERY CLOSE.
Maybe it depends how the Bonnet is adjusted.
Is the contact with the Bonnet
