Sorry for not posting earlier, but I had no internet access for the last couple of days.
I spotted a couple of TVRs listed for auction. They were listed with some antiques, jewelry and other random stuff with an auctioneer that you wouldn't associate with cars.
Taking a wild guess, I would imagine the poor owner has died and his wife or family have asked the local auctioneer to get rid of his cars and contents of his garage yikes
It seems a bit like putting Red Rum up for sale in the back of the local paper!

I can't be sure, but it appears a 1971 Tuscan sold for £12,000 and a 77 Taimar went unsold.

A similar thing happened at Fieldings near me (they've been on TV few times).

It said it was from a garage clearance. In amongst the china, furniture, watches and porcelain in March 2017 was a TVR! At the time I wasn't sure if it sold, it' still SORN with no MoT history (so 13 yrs + without one) on DVLA. But on cazana, it says its passed with advisories on perished tyres so DVLA database a bit slow to update.

I went to look at it and it needed a full restoration. M113 GGT. Rusty water had damaged the paint in a few places and the interior was shot. Fair play to somebody!:

If the Taimar didn't sell ,either it got no bids whatsoever or they did know it's value roughly and it didn't reach anywhere near

estimate or reserve.

Good plate on it too.

A specialist auction would have been a way better place for both these cars......fairly obvious.

I can’t make out the chassis number but it must have been one of the last ones.
Hopefully the new owner will come on here.
