M Series (early) Silly handbrake question
Discussion
There are threaded adjusters on the cable ends the attach to the mechanism at the lever end under the transmission tunnel.
On mine there is a rod on the end of handbrake lever that goes to a block which both cables go through and the adjusters are fitted in the block and adjusted against it.
On mine I changed the rod to threaded bar to allow further adjustment.
I may be able to post pictures when I get home.
ETA. I’ve assumed your brake shoes are fully adjusted as per plasicpigs advice.

Thanks chaps.
Yes, I've just rebuilt the rear brakes and adjusted the shoe stop position accordingly.
It was the cable slack that I was unsure about.
Having not yet dived under the tunnel, I've studied the M series manual pic of the brake system and could only see the join in that area.
I'll take a look. Thanks again.
