I hope the new owner unkinks the brake lines!!
£25k will get any sensible person into a very very nice car these days!!
What price nostalgia.... The passing of years tempts seemingly ordinary normal folk to pay a kings ransom for some recycled triumph bits and an old capri engine

Nostalgia is indeed a powerful force. Another Tuscan sold recently although the asking price was a bit north of £25k. You'll have to scroll down a bit to find the car.£25k will get any sensible person into a very very nice car these days!!

As for Capris, you could easily pay £25k and more for a 3 litre mark 1. There's currently a 3000E on eBay for £32k
Back to TVRs, I'm struggling to think of another car that offers the spec of the Vixen/Tuscan/2500 range - double wishbones all round, adjustable camber front and rear, adjustable toe in on the rear, 15" alloys.
I'm not too clued up on new cars but a quick trawl of the net shows you can get a Totota GT86 from around £25. I think it's a 4 cylinder car and for all it's modern advantages, it's not much faster than an old Tuscan.
I know which one I'd prefer...but I was bitten my the nostalgia bug many years ago.

And you probably don't even need to adjust the suspension

Each to their own. The Porsche will be a very capable and well engineered car but I know what I would personally prefer.
I like the fact that TVRs were hand built, they are more unusual, they are British and they don't look like anything else around.
Every time I go out somebody wants to talk to me about my TVR and I get lots of thumbs ups and salutes on the road. People like to see something unusual and I know for a fact that more people look at my TVR, because as it happens, last weekend I was behind a Porsche 911 Carrera 4s and I know my car got more admiration!
I also like to be able to tinker with my car and make little adjustments here and there and maintain it myself.
Nothing wrong with Porsches, nothing wrong with an old Jag or an MG etc. It would be a boring old world if we all liked the same thing, but I am happy to keep a little bit of history alive with my TVR.
The car in your link, or my TVR....I know what I prefer.
I know what I prefer.
My old TVR is not particularly fast, but it's fast enough for me and it is certainly a lot of fun to drive and to own, not only that, it brings joy to others every time I go out.

I'm glad you're enjoying your 2500 Bull. A very underrated car in my opinion
I hadn't realised you could get a modern Porche for around £25k, so I take your point Dollyman1850.
Back to my earlier thought, does anyone know of a Vixen era car that can match the spec? If we throw in optional overdrive then the Tuscan and 2500 is also covered.
