Hi, I live in Perth West Aust and own a 1976 TVR3000M, The climate is hot.
The car runs hot due in part to climate and I have been trying to improve the cars cooling.
Can somebody please post a diagram of the cars original cooling system and if possible hose dimensions especially internal.
The plumbing circuit that was on the car when I imported it just does not seem in my opinion to be correct.
Opinions please on the necessity of plumbing the water via the carby in my hotter climate.
I have installed two electric fans on the radiator, this hot air is pushed into the engine bay.
I have removed the spare wheel and installed a 12 inch electric fan in its place to help remove the hot air that pools in the engine bay when stationary at traffic lights.
Great car and I enjoy driving it.

Does yours have a cross-flow or upright radiator?

Phillpot, thanks for your reply.
Yes I did check out "Clicky" it was helpful but it didn't cover my questions entirely.
My car has the small crossflow radiator.
I have also made it a closed system by fitting an overflow tank where the spare wheel was supposed to be fitted.
I intend to fit another new 160 deg thermostat and 12-16 psi radiator cap.
These items have been in for a couple of years.

There are a couple of cooling system diagrams on the tvr.m-fix.co.uk Web site that you might find useful.

Vent the back of the bonnet, hot air rises, reaches the bulkhead and has nowhere to go.
