Took my Vixen to a show...
Discussion
I bought my Vixen in the summer of last year and although I have enjoyed lots of days out and a couple of local classic club meets, last Sunday was the first show we attended.
We went to the Limerick Classic Car Show and on the way in the marshals took a big interest in the Vixen and told me to wait for a moment while they prepared our spot. They lowered the chain used to keep the oiks away from the good stuff and waved me into the "Supercar" area!
This was the main lineup on the way into the showground and we felt very proud. On having a quick look at the lineup we were in, I realised this was indeed the supercar area. The lineup, in order was Porsche 550 with Mille Miglia history, Ferrari 250GT California Spyder (the only factory RHD one ever), the last ever Aston Martin DB4 GT which was then sent to Bertone for a one off body known as the Jet, a 1955 Maserati 300S raced at the Sebring 12 hour race, a Ferrari 288GTO, then my humble Vixen
I have a few pictures but I was relying on my Wife's phone with a better camera which sadly started acting up. I took a few with my phone instead, but realised when I got home and viewed them back that not only is my camera poor but that the lens was covered in dust and muck
I will attach the only reasonable photo we have but if anyone is interested, let me know and I will post links to better pictures.

I am hoping for the best, copy and paste is new to me.
No tips for the Derby, I don't think he was there, probably just sent the cars for us plebs to admire.
Interestingly, I went back to get something from the car and had to apologise and move because a bloke of about 60 was taking a photo and video of the Vixen. He told me that it was the only car he had aimed his camera at so far that day. Nice to know that she can hold her own and that it's not always the price tag that interests people.

It's the bonnet, all about the bonnet. Your cars bonnet has had many more hours design work put into it compared to the other cars in the above photo, there are many shapes used to create your cars bonnet and when those shapes are put together....every picture tells a story
As for the worth of a vehicle.....people with too much money and too little knowledge of cars are the ones that set the prices, in 200 years time your car could be the most valuable....money-wise that is
You have a stunning car. It's a shame you didn't get a stunning tip for the Derby
