? Battery for 1972 3500M
Discussion
I've just gone to replace the battery on my 3500M, and found that the knackered one that was fitted (and needless to say is the one which spec I used to order the new battery) is physically too big and is rubbing against the inner wing.
It is actually sitting on top of the cradle that's supposed to locate it, the dimensions of which are approx 23.8cms long and 14mm wide. The previous battery was 19cms high and was clear of bonnet.
So, in order to shorten my search, any suggestions, bearing in mind that it has to turn over 4.6 litres, but can't be huge like my Land Rover one?

You can easily compare specs on the websites.
I would look at Oddesy, Optima and Northstar.
They each have good websites showing battery dimensions and capacity and you can compare what will give you most power for your available space. Then just go on fleabay with that battery part number and search for it.
Those makes wont be the cheapest batteries but they will be decent quality.
