Hi looking for advice.
I,m informed that modern day gear oil GL 4 & GL 5 has additives that long term can damage internals made from bronze.Morrisons Lodexol SS 75/90 semi synthetic has been recommended.Any comments

OK, you can use a GL4 oil without any problems, the difference between GL4 and GL5 is that there is about twice the amount of sulfer/phosphorous additive in GL5 and that will attack the yellow metals.

GL4 is available by the oil companies that produce the classic range oils, as there are: Penrite, Millers, Morrisen just to name a few.

Just to add MGA gear box runs with engine oil
Interesting information cos I reckon ther must be hundreds of classics using oils that potentially can harm internals
Out of interest does the diff on a Grantura contain any bronze
