I've got a set of Wolfrace wheels which have those hardened (?) steel chamfered inserts fitted into the stud holes. Trouble is that they're not all there, and some that are there have oxidised into place! Any thoughts on a) how to free them out, and b) where I might get some more of the inserts?
If I can get them all out, I do have a set of those lovely wheel nuts that included a chamfered sleeve in the design, so (a) above would possibly be preferred route.

I think even with the nice new nuts with rings you still need the bushes that are pressed into the wheels.
I don't think i would remove them. Just find some to fit in the holes where they are missing

Different types of wheels. Different types of nuts. Not necessarily interchangeable.
Sleeve nuts for wheels that are designed to take sleeve nuts (bigger bore).
Swivel washer nuts for alloy wheels that don't have any inserts.
Wheels with steel inserts have standard looking nuts.
The inserts should be an interference fit and not come out. If the wheel manufacturer can't supply replacements, perhaps a machine shop could turn some up for you. Do Wolfrace still exist?

Very easy to make, as mentioned above a small engineering shop could make some easy enough. Rusty ones already in the wheels would simply clean once bolted on to a hub.
