carpets diy 3000M

I just had a brain wave for the carpets in my 3000M for diy carpets.
While recovering the Weathershield + sewing the different sections together of the Everflex i am using.
I suddenly looked at all the off cuts and thought what a waste.
When i bought my 3000M the previous owner had replaced the foot mats but they just had raw unfinished edges.
I've some strips of Everflex 3.5 cms wide and used it to bind the edges of the floor mats.
I am very pleased with the result which matches the roof now and was free.
Very easy to do on an old Singer 66K hand sowing machine. The only extra is you need a Walking Foot attachement which for me i bought one to sew the roof sections.

On the right is first step to sew along edge. On the left then fold back along edge and sew along through the carpet and the Everflex flap you folded underneath
