TVR 280S - identify parts neeeded
Discussion
I have a TVR 280S, 1989, which is fitted with a Ford Cologne V6 engine, as used in the Capri 2.8i Calypso. It is all ready to MOT except will not pass on emissions due to damaged air intake hose and air meter housing. I know TVR are renowned for consolidating many varieties and makes of parts in their cars. Although the engine is a Cologne I found that the air hose and meter housing are not from a capri but possibly a Granada. I need a part number or more detail to try to source both as the ones I have are not air-tight :-(.
I do have some pictures but unable to load at moment - wrong format, will do so soon. The hose is half circular, 60cm along the back, edge to edge and 8cm in diameter
Any help would be greatly appreciated, dying to get her on the road!

I'd suggest you ask over on the S Series Forum, a wealth of knowledge awaits you, but those things are rare as hens teeth

If it is the 2 port cylinder heads, its a Capri . If its the 3 port heads, its a Granada.

I can confirm that the wedge uses a GRANADA airbox, NOT a Capri. Granny box is deeper and larger.
Granny box used a vertically mounted air filter, Capri was horizontal.
I think intake hose is also Granada (longer).
Engines are exactly the same in Capri and Granada for K-jet injection.
Confusion arises because later Granadas got Efi on the 2.8 (still with 2 exhaust ports), and then later got the 2.9 engine Efi and 3 exhaust ports.
almost no 2.9 parts fit the 2.8 despite them looking very similar.....
For parts, I think the actual metering head and bits are also the same between Capri and Granny, just airbox and hoses and a few brackets changed.

Thank you for the part breakdown.
The hose and the meter housing on your diagram look exactly the same as what i have on my 280S. I think the hose could be made up by a hose specialist, mine is split in the middle and has been stuck together with what looks like gaffer-tape! The air meter housing has a split in it that has been mended unsuccessfully at some point with possibly superglue! Maybe it could be mended with something better as it looks like the parts needed, sadly, are virtually impossible to find
