Looking good, quite like that wheel that came with it.
Do race cars need MOT ( could be issues with lights, washers, tyres etc. etc. ) or is it going to be road legal?
They don't need MOTs but its useful if it can be driven on the road occasionally, I want to test reliability as, being a new build, its a complete unknown.Do race cars need MOT ( could be issues with lights, washers, tyres etc. etc. ) or is it going to be road legal?

Off topic, who supplied the new rear screen?
It came from these guys: http://www.plastics4performance.com/tvr-vixen-lexa...Had it modified to take dzus fasteners and I painted the black surround with etch primer.

CSCC most likely Future Classics or Swinging 60s if they allow me.
We fancied the swinging 60's and the format looked right up our street, but when we made enquiries about tyres (because we couldn't obtain the sizes we needed ) a few things came up that might have caused us issues.Shame really.

I am coming back out with future classics but it maybe next year now..
Its huge fun.

Future classics now split 70s and 80s cars. I tried initially to get into Swinging 60s back in 2010 as I thought the M was more 60s than 80s. The guys would not allow it.

Is that 70's and 80's as two classes in same race or separate races?I am coming back out with future classics but it maybe next year now..

Pete, my guess is CSCC would allow a 3000M with 205/60/15's (048's). It is basically a Tuscan V6 with different bonnet and tail lights!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Tuscan_(1967).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_M_Series (72-79).
Pretty sure I have come across a 3000M in SS over the last few years (black one I think).
Like I say it is a Tuscan basically. I'm sure a Tuscan could be made into a 3000M or vice vs with a bonnet and a bit of glass fiber round the back!
I'll ask

Err... No. They are completely different cars. Different chassis, suspension, gearbox, etc. etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Tuscan_(1967).

I agree that the engine is the same (but not - early Essex lumps are different to later lumps) and the front and rear screens are the same but that's about it.
