Has anyone had the bodyshell soda blasted? If so was you happy with the results? Who did it and how much does it cost?
Looking at options for my own car

I would seriously advise you not to soda blast your body it takes all gel off what was brushed on and can go from nearly 10mm in places down to 2 or 3 so you end up with a bad surface its to abrasive

Hey Dunc.. just as well I did`nt blast your Vixen as a surprise then biggrin

I guess, like most things in life it`s down to who`s doing the job,I dropped this Grantura down to Midland Precision Blasting the following day after collecting it and am very pleased with the results and wouldn't`t hesitate to do the same again. On the other hand if you`re using a guy who uses an old 40 ft container as a booth,as Duncan says, be prepared for problems.

I had a hands on with their equipment.. something else, it`s possible with soda and the correct technique to remove a single layer of paint at a time, very precise and gentle.

As for price, well it`s job dependant, gauge around £600-750 but best give them a call.
