3000m Cooling System Incomplete
Discussion
Took my race car project build for an MOT today, first time the engine has run for any length of time, started to overheat, looking at the attached diagram realised I don't have any of the pipes and header tank from 14 onward outlined in red, always thought 2 was the header tank, maybe its a swirl pot and 6 is the header, which may explain my overheating?
Anyone know what vehicle the missing tank is from originally?

In my opinion you need a header/expansion with Rad cap fitted (keep half full).
On the Swirlpot you need a Blank cap, not Rad cap so the Swirlpot pot can bleed air from top of Rad.
I have no problems with my 3000M or 3000S overheating and both have header/expansion tanks as your dia.
