TVR TAIMAR TAILGATE LATCH/STRIKER

I have just purchased a 1977 Taimar - could you please let me know from what vehicle TVR sourced the Tailgate latch (manual type) as I require a new striker plate.
Although the car is up and running on the road no doubt this wont be my only request for help or information - Thanks.

I Believe its a Ford Cortina item modified i have a new one in the spares if it the striker part easy to make a new one i made a spare recently for the 3000s
