And another ebay offering
Discussion
I find it very strange when people cover up the registration mark when advertising cars. The only reason I can think of is that it's hiding something in its history that the seller doesn't want you to find.
That also could be your car as reg starts with U and ends in R the same as yours it also has the rear vents in which is rare and a few other bits and bobs. The DVLA can be slow sometimes updating there records.

It used to be an act of protection against car cloners (some would say paranoia?). Also, the unscrupulous could find out where you lived from DVLA if it was a car worth trying to steal. The same reasons you see wrecked cars on transporters with tape covering the plates. An opportunity to clone one for some.
However, since 2015 and you only need the reg and make of car to find this out, all the old MoT data is available online. So hiding the reg indicates what you suggest, something to hide.
I've never bothered hiding the plate on selling a car, and dealers rarely (but not always) do it either.

From a friend in the know i have just been informed that the car is all good and no known silly stories behind it. Still worth checking out yourself though if interested. The way these cars have gone up by, I think it should do the best part of £10k if not more with projects doing between £5 and £8k.
The TR6 diff is fine but not as strong as the Jag one so if you want to upgrade the power a lot you would need to change it.
