Bellhousing query
Discussion
some time back I bought what I understood was a 3000m/Taimar bellhousing. Change of plans, didn't need it so it ended up in the back of the shed.
Skip forward to today and it's time to tidy the shed, my "Essex" bellhousing comes to light........... but, look again and it's not for an Essex, that is later Cologne bolt pattern!
I don't however recognise the gearbox bolt pattern, grey one on right is Cologne/Type 9 as used in the S Series cars.
Anyone got any ideas so i know what to describe it as on Ebay?

yeah Agree - both are Cologne.... one on right is Type 9 (5 speed).
er... Might be a Type 5/ Type B 4 speeder (i.e. 4 speed 2.8 Capri/Granny/Wedge) which is same gearbox as the Essex.
Quick look at Burton website for gasket pic looks about right ....

Yeah, that would make sense, bet there's not a queue of people looking for one Can't recall who I bought it from and I'm sure he sold it me "in good faith", could be the scrap metal mans lucky day!
