3000s hood folding lowering tips

We covered this on our 3000s group recently Alan are your cross members attached to the hood some are and some are not when they are they find there own position as they fold down when they are not that seems to happen even some finding the fabric blows out at the back

Thanks for photos very helpful.
On my 3000s the hood is attached to the crossbar just above the back window. The other 2 crossbars are not attached. The middle crossbar finds it's own position when the hood is raised and pegs locked in windscreen top frame. Once all the poppers and tenax are attached i pivot the front crossbar forward to tension hood fabric.
I will put a Velcro strip the full length of the middle crossbar.
I just find when lowering the hood the fabric can be trapped on the sides where things pivot and could be easily damaged.

Mine is also attached on just the rear bar. I always have to pull the flaps at the dudes out to allow the mechanism to sit lower. I also roll a towel up and put it in the centre to stop the rear screen rubbing against itself.On my 3000s the hood is attached to the crossbar just above the back window.
