The slow rebuild of the 3000m continues .The original vinyl roof was past its best

I've had one with and one without. IMHO, I think without is better.

Vinyl roofs were big in the 70s. Its a period feature. If it were me I'd probably keep it, but its your car....

I've got a 1976 3000M with a Vinyl roof. I have bought some vinyl from Martrim.uk and i'm going to try to fit it on my car as it left the Factory. There is no doubt in my mind to keep it original if i can. If i fail then i will get the roof painted as a last resort.
After all it is a 70's car so why not keep the 70's look. For me it is part of our Heritage.

Well that's a surprise that you have kept you diy Clothes Patterns.
You just need a Singer Sowing Machine and you're all set up to make a nice pair of Flower Power Flairs hippy

Ahhh yes I do believe that we can help you with a suitable period electric Singer machine as mother still has hers.

All my new Capris (4) had vinyl roofs in the 1970's, they were great, I think they should make a comeback like artexed ceilings.....

I've got a similar issue with a 77 Jag coupe. To refit or not. I think the vinyl looks ok and fab to keep clean, especially if unlucky to get bird poop on, the vinyl is a simple wipe off wink
