Gents,

Began the overhaul of the front and rear suspension on my '69 Vixen today using Superflex poly bushes throughout as well as for the rack mounts and diff. Also got new Stanpart trunions which was a lucky move as upon disassembly of the RF suspension today, the lower thru bolt on the trunion bottom, while able to be turned with a wrench, was seized in the bush and wouldn't come out. The sawzall made quick work of dispatching the offending item but I hope it's not a sign of things to come!

Anyhow, looking forward to the end result and methinks the car should be quite improved upon completion. One thing I do need to know is the proper torque/procedure for tightening the wheel bearing nut. I presume it's the same method as on my TR6 but if anyone knows different, I'm all ears.

I'd post pics but my phone was left at the house today so I'll take some next time I'm up at the workshop.

Bottom wishbone bushes also seized so will either have to cut the bolts as with the trunion or get the MAP gas out as the C clamp was ineffective..

New upper wishbone bushes went in nicely. Liberal coating of Würth copper anti-seize on all of the hardware...

Totally spent rear bushes, these will be all replaced with poly once the front end is done...
