Hi

My first ever TVR was a 3000M which I owned in the late 70's to 1982. The stupid thing is I have lost the info of its reg number etc.
I purchased the car from a then TVR main dealer "Bridge Motors" of Bocking Braintree in Essex and I sold it back to them 2 and a bit years later for a more family friendly Alfer!
A good friend Alan had a identical car (Which he still has) and at the time we both were volunteers at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

Does anybody else today have a 3000M in the same colour scheme?

(Alan's car.)

I know this is a long shot but if anybody does could you check its history to see if it was my old car. I lived in Bures in Suffolk at the time. I would love to know if it's still around and would even be interested in buying it if it ever came up for sale again.

Thanks

Andy Hutcheson.

Andy,

Not sure how I stumbled across this post, however, my father was the dealer in question, Bridge Motors. We used to live in Wormingford, people call him Mac, so he may well have picked it up for dropped it off for you. I'm visiting home next week as i live in the states now, I'll see if we can lay out hands on the original stock book as I think he still them. Any additional info, roughly the time of year you purchased it and all that, will help us pin point it I'm sure.

Hopefully we might be able to shed some light on the chassis info etc. I will await your response and see what I can find this end.

Regards.

Hi Rog

Thanks for the reply. I brought the car in either 80 or 81 and my surname is: Hutcheson. He would have known me as the Manager off Visionhire in Bank St, Braintree My home address was Bures in Suffolk. I even sold it back to them when I needed a family car which was a Alfa.

They looked after the car for me including a new front end following my only ever TVR accident (To date.)

Hi aero

That looks very much like my first Taimar which I sold to my friend Malcom in the late 90's
