I am redoing the cover for my gearbox tunnel. Currently it's only a carpet where the seams are covered by a leather band. Most pictures of S1 Vixens show a leather cover with sewn pleats(?). Do these extend all the way down the sides aswell? What are the width of the pleats?

Pictures of original S1 interiors much appreciated

I'll post a photo of mine this evening. There are a few pictures on the web that are useful.

Here you go. Nice S1 car I snapped at the big TVR gathering at Goodwood a few years back. Don't know if it belongs to? Anybody frequenting this site?

OK, the top layer of mine is made of a black, fabric backed vinyl. It seems to be stuffed, with welded pleats, 38mm wide. Its backed with a green vinyl fabric and the welded pleats pass through both black and green vinyl layers, holding them together. Its edged with the same black vinyl. It is held to the sides of the tunnel with pop fasteners (4)

photos below,

most of the photos of other S1s I have come from the web, but seem to show it draping over the tunnel and butting up to a fatter section immediately in front of the dash and passing under a protrusion of carpet between the seats, to the rear. Some images suggest a carpet section covering the lower portion of the trim, others don't seem to have this.

Let me know if you need any more details

Thanks for the pictures and take your time guys! Much appreciated.

Need to decide if I do the full cover as pleated or like innthe grey car with just the top.

It looks better as a fully draped cover as original, it doesn't look right as just a top as the lines run out.
