Vixen reverse/number plate lamp Repair
Discussion
Has anyone tried repairing the Lucas 469 Unit.
I have had problems for ages with bad connections on the bulbs etc and it's all a bit old and shoddy inside. I was wondering if anyone had tried repairing these or replacing the internals with something more reliable.
There are a few new ones about but quite scarece and I woulkd rather save the £100 odd for something more interesting.
Any tips welcome
Thanks

Thanks Hans but that is just the lens cover. It's mainly the back including the bulb holder bit I'm thinking about.
I have now managed to remove the innards from the back plate so will try cleaning up with emery paper and making a new wiring loom. Main isssue is that the bits that hold the bulbs are a bit loose or in one case broken and being held together with a tie wrap.
My lens cover isn't too bad. I've replaces the number plate plastic covers with new clear plastic using the old split rivets. If anyone knows where I can get new spl;t rivets I'd be interested as I have not found any that small on the internet.
Thanks
Gilbert
