There is a leak in the low wide rad on my 3000M under the spare wheel.
I understand a Capri 3000 rad will fit in centre position as later cars.
There are NEW heavy duty alloy alloy rads on the market for under £200 which look very nice.
If i buy one of these what brackets do i need to fit in central position on my 3000M.
I imagine the top rad hose will fit direct from the Thermostat housing.
Maybe the bottom rad hose is just standard Capri 3000.
That would mean the original Swirlpot will not be required.
I wonder if some of you boys could help please with info.
Thanks in advance
Alan

Why not just get the original recored if needed. Much less work and money than changing.

The rads are £213.95 including post. 70mm thick which is the same as 4 core. heavy duty alloy.
A centre Rad seems to be the way many owners have gone.
I live in Brittany France and the exchange rate between the Euro and GBP is good at the moment

Post about 1978, V6 cars got the midships radiator, which was Capri 3000 (with big top tank)
Exception was the Turbo's ..... cos rad would have been in way of blower.
I have converted a few cars to the later rad, I dispense with the mechanical cooling fan, and its boss/bearing on front cover.
So same as tubo, with shorter fan belt
Then fit 2 motorbike fans at top of rad .... where it gets hot
I find it works better & less weight where you don't want it .... at front of car

Cheers Ian
