Hi, my 2500m has had some modifications work on the front end in its past for some reason or another which has removed the original m series gapping mouth look which I love.

I would like to re build the front end back to original, has anyone done this before or got any dimensions or technical drawings.

Here's what it looks like:

Here's what it's meant to look like:

Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers, F

Arte you absolutely sure it has ben modified, is there any indication of work inside? The very first M series had this extremely small lower air intake, and yours looks to be one of the first 1972 cars.

Personally if you do want the later style bonnet, I think it would be better to keep that bonnet and buy a newer style one, but I believe the mounting needs to be modified. In the meantime, at least that one will open to a sensible angle without hitting the floor!

Oliver.

Thanks Oliver, much appreciated!!

Yes it is 1972.

In that case it hasn't been modified and I was just un aware of the earlier style. I'll definitely keep it as it is now as there can't be many of that shape around any more.

Cheers, Finn

Good call Finn the solution would be to buy a later car to keep it company maybe a 3000s for sunny days wink
