TVR 2500m temp sender
Discussion
I have read many a post about the temp sender on a 2500m but found nothing conclusive as to which one to go for or where to get it.
I've got Smiths instruments and currently the temperature gauge goes straight from 40 to 120 after a few minutes.
Recently bought a tr6 sender from ANG classics but soon realised it was incorrect.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

A TR6 (and 2000 and 2500 saloon) sender should be compatible with a Smith's gauge.
It could be the voltage regulator, which is a small steel box attached to back of speedo (in Triumphs anyway, may be different place in 'M').
Its job is to deliver 10 volts to the temp and fuel gauges.
If it has failed, the gauges may not read at all, or may read too high.
If there isn't one, then it could be someone has removed it, and both gauges will read too high if battery voltage supplied to them directly.
