I have been wondering why the coolant level has been going down very very slowly.
Bingo, i have found the very small leak and it's the Core Plug between n°1 and n°2 outside of the Block. It looks like i can replace it with Engine in place. I think i can remove the outlet hose from water pump to heater and access from off side wheelarch.
Looking at past posts on the forum the Core Plug between n°1 and n°2 can often leak.
My car was laid up for several years which will not help if there is no anti freeze inhibiter in system.

Well, just looked closer and the Core Plug between n°2 and n°3 has had a bodge with grp mat/resin laid over it.
I can't understand why people faff about like this when it's easier to change the Core Plug for a new one. I've just ordered a set of Core Plugs from BurtonPower for £6.09 Peanuts. I will against my better sense stop the very small leak also with resin ONLY to get the car through the French MOT. Once i have the French V5 "Carte Grise" i will take the 3000M off the road and change the Core Plugs both sides.

ALL Your core plugs will be corroded if not changed previously. If they look sort of OK from outside then believe me they will still potentially be shot.
Plugs corrode from inside to outside and will hold until they can't hold anymore. Then you will have a mega failure one day and it will be the plug you can't get to at the side of the road.
You can make up a plug repair piece which I have in the race spares box as a get you home and Halfords also do a sump repair plug on their multi-pack racks which can be modified as a core plug repair plug..
This was my dodge van..They looked OK from the outside apart from a slight weep through a pin hole. These were steel plugs on a 154k mile engine...
DONT be tempted to prog them with a screwdriver until you are ready to replace them

Thanks Dollyman,
I will wait until the Core Plug kit arrives from Burton.
Clean and degrease outside of Engine before dismantling. Then when i have the removed the old Core Plugs i will flush out the block by the Core Plug holes in all directions to be sure there is no crap anywhere in the waterways in the Block. Check that water pump is clean inside. Assemble new Core Plugs using sealant.

Update, i have run engine but there is a leak from a core plug when hot.
So i removed new leaking core plug and fitted another new one using Loctite 648. No leak and a good result.
Wait and see when i do the road test but for the moment it's a little cold outside here even here in Brittany
