What's the best self levelling brush on black paint for the engine bay sides and bulkhead any ideas anyone?

I used this in one of the Ford Blue colours on the Tuscan very happy with the results

Going along the lines of roller painting with rustoleum on metal bodies cars, I googled into that area, apparently yacht paint works well and can be rollered on.

see last post.



Much easier with aerosols. We did the Taimar engine bay with aerosols and wet&dry/T-Cut and it looks great.

Hi Andrew - is the blue from there a reasonable match for the blue that Ford used?
I now have a block/head to refurb/repaint.

Any tips on prep? The last owner just painted over the original and it has mostly fallen off...

Just put on acrylic satin black and all looks good.
Were the inner front wings black fibreglass mine have been sprayed I'm thinking of stripping off the paint to get back to original

I always thought inner wings looked better black, gloss or satin both look good.

I tend to agree mine are body colour on the Vixen and I will change at some point to Black they certainly look better
