With a subject line like that, I was eager to find out numbers.

So, do both of your cars have GA engines, or is this the one from your M?

Best regards,
Bernard.

Hi Bernard,

Yes both cars have GA block engines, the one in my M is on throttle boddies and fuel injected the Gem is on triple twin chokes.

We expect 290 - 300 bhp from the Gem engine it may loose some installed (it may gain whistle) and the final set up will be on the rolling road.
Ric is usually conservative with numbers, its about how it goes on track which he prefers.
The M engine made 325BHP on the same dyno but i think has a softer cam ( Rics own profiles) for track day / road use.

Hows your M project progressing?

Thanks Andrew, they do sound nice when revving but rattly on idle.
Unfourtunately the rebuild cost has expended my budget for racing this season (maybe), so if we do race it will be towards the end of the year.
We will however test, probably on a track day set up to reduce cost, and are planning an outing in mid June subject to my wife not killing me dead before hand.

It's a Cosworth GA V6 block, 3.4ltr, Ric Wood engine. Ric Wood aluminium heads, camshaft, etc.
I don't know, well I've been told but can't retain the detail, of details such as valve sizes, choke sizes etc.
I'll be seeing Ric next week so I'll ask him for detail.

Sounds like both engines are gems. Wonderful to know that they're so close to 100hp/liter.

Mine's been on hold since the autumn, but I just broke up with my girlfriend, so the resources, in terms of time, money, and energy should be freed up, to play more.

Best regards,
Bernard.
